Angel of Independence, Mexico City

Built in 1910, the "Angel" is one of the most photogenic landmarks in Mexico City. Officially known as "Columna de la Independencia", the bottom part is a mausoleum that contains the remains of some of Mexico's founders.

Just like the "Palacio de Bellas Artes", it is also slowly sinking in the subsoil.
